2020 is a big year for Americans exercising their right to vote! Election season is upon us.
I wanted to remind everyone that regardless of our political views, we are all still Americans. So, I’ve done something special for us crafters as a way to bring us together through yarn - a reminder that while we all may have differing opinions, we have two commonalities - yarn and our right to vote.
I’ve combined one skein of each: White-Tailed Robin Feather, Cardinal Feather and a third color you haven’t seen since I first began dyeing – 7/4 Confusion. This creamy yarn is speckled with red and blue fireworks and it is what I imagine a bird would see and feel on July 4th.
These three-skein fingering weight kits are available for NOW! If you nab yours before July 4, you will get a FREE pattern – Veera Valimaki’s Color Affection – a three-color pattern that uses wraps and turns and garter ridges to create texture, which come together for your perfect red, white and blue shawl to wear to the polls.
We are taking pre-orders for these kits through July 31. All orders will ship Aug. 17, just in time for you to knit or crochet up some red, white and blue yarn for Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3. Make sure you're registered to cast YOUR vote!
Kits include 1 skein each of Cardinal Feather, White-Tailed Robin Feather & 7/4 Confusion on my Songbird base - 463 yards each of 75% superwash merino & 25% nylon.
