During a virtual trunk show with another yarn shop, we discussed some of our favorite books as children.
We totally concur with the shop's choice of James and the Giant Peach from Roald Dahl. James escapes the clutches of his vile aunts by flying away on a giant peach accompanied by several very large anthropomorphic insects.
Paige saw a peach colored yarn with purple, green and rusty colored speckles. We started with a yellow base and covered that with and orange-y pink to get the perfect color of a peach. We speckled it with lots of colors to represent the insects.
Toad Hollow washes each skein carefully after dying but slight bleeding may occur during first wash. Skeins may vary in color slightly so if using more than one skein of yarn in a project, please alternate skeins every few rows.
Care of yarn - superwash merino will allow you to wash your items in the washing machine but please use cold water. For best results and care, hand washing is recommended.
