24 Days of Yarn - The Rainbow

If you know anything about my 24 days of yarn, please know this: They always revolve around things that I LOVE! This year is no different!

Rainbows! Who doesn't love a good rainbow?! I love rainbows so much that when I roll into a fiber fest, my yarn is arranged in a rainbow fashion. I've always loved all that color contrast smushed together. I remember the first time I ever saw a double rainbow in the sky, too! I had just finished a job interview and was on the phone with my husband when I Iooked in the sky and saw those two beautiful arcs.  *SWOOOOON*

Given my love for these beautiful arcs, it seems fitting that this year will be a 24-color rainbow mini-skein-set!

If that weren't enough, this year, there are two add-ons.

1. A knitting pattern will be included by Tanis Gray! Be still my rainbow heart!  The only thing I know about her pattern development is that the item will not be a cowl and it will be based on the 20g Songbird box (which has more yardage than the Eiderdown). Also, I've already completed the color development (WOOOHOOOO), and I cannot wait to knit this garment this year during the Holiday Season! 

2. You have the option to add on an EXCLUSIVE AND VERY LIMITED RUN Cottontail Farm Harris Tweed Bag in either Black Rainbow or Red Rainbow! CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO.

This year's 24 Days of Yarn will include 24 20g mini skeins or 24 50g skeins (whichever your choose), in a rainbow hue full of semi-solids. You can choose your base and you can choose to add a complementary full skein to your surprise box! You know I can't send out a box like this with a whole slew of surprises, right?!?! THIS YEAR'S BOX IS NOT TO BE MISSED!

You also will have the opportunity to choose the complementary full skein with each set. Tanis's pattern will use the 24 Days of Yarn 20g minis on Songbird Fingering with the complementary skein. If using the pattern and having the exact yarn the designer uses is important to you, then you will want to choose the Songbird Fingering 24 Days of Yarn WITH the complementary skein.

20 GRAM SETS
Songbird - all the yarn will be 75% Superwash merino/25% nylon 4-ply fingering weight skeins, 92 yards on each mini or 20g. The full skein is 100g and 463 yards. 

Tough Little Birds - all the yarn will be 75% Superwash Bluefaced Leicester/25% nylon 4 ply fingering weight, 92 yards each or 20 g. The full skein is 100g and 464 yards. 

Eiderdown II - all the yarn in this box will be 80% superwash merino/10% cashmere/10% nylon, 2 ply fingering weight, 2 ply, 80 yards each or 20 g. The full skein is 100g and 435 yards of 4 ply. 

NEW!! Two Sparrows DK - FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER, I am offering a DK version of the Holiday Box! All yarn is still  75% Superwash merino/25% nylon 4-ply, but the yarn is DK. If your order a complementary skein, you will receive the complementary skein on the Two Sparrows base

Songbird - all the yarn will be 75% Superwash merino/25% nylon 4-ply fingering weight skeins, 231 yards each or 50g. The full skein is 100g and 463 yards.

WHAT ARE 24 DAYS OF YARN?

This box of 24 20g mini skeins or 24 50g skeins is a yarn package filled with delight! Order now and this beautiful box will arrive (hopefully) before Thanksgiving. You (ideally) open a surprise gift daily (if you can manage holding off) beginning Dec. 1 through Dec. 25. 

CARE OF YOUR 24 DAYS OF YARN

The yarn in this box will be superwash. For best results, we recommend STEAMING your final garment. I have an entire video on steam blocking finished garments. If you insist on wet blocking your garment, please use color catchers in the bin (at least 10) and hand-wash with very light agitation and dry flat.
