Sample makers

Sample Knitters & Crocheters Needed

Robin’s Promise Yarn Co. Is searching for Sample Makers – both knitting and crocheting.

We call on our Sample Knitters & Crocheters throughout the year to produce samples for our seasonal knit‐ and crochet‐wear collections and pattern releases. We are looking to widen our pool of candidates to help us with samples. We are specifically interested in advanced knitters and/or crocheters of colorwork and lace.

 Because of shipping costs, we are looking for makers within the continental U.S.

 A successful candidate must be:

 Able to manage deadlines with expertise and adhere to deadlines

 Proficient and experienced with most knitted garment construction

methods

 Able to learn new techniques independently

 Able to swatch

 Able to confidently work from barebones patterns in development

 Detail oriented

 Provide excellent communication regarding any issue or feedback to

pattern designers

 Able to finish each garment appropriately and to pattern specs including blocking and weaving all ends.

Successful candidates will be contract employees and will receive a contract to sign once deadlines are collaboratively set. All executed contracts are binding legal documents.

All samples knit or crocheted become property of Robin’s Promise Yarn Co.

Payment: payment is the same amount of yarn sent as worked with in the sample. If you use 2 1/2 full skeins then Payment is rounded up to 3 skeins. After I have finished using the sample, you will have first dibs as to whether you want the sample you completed.
