This beauty is part of the Pheasant Collection. I found a gorgeous picture of a pheasant (see below). I had tried to dye a color to match the pheasant with little success. I finally came to the conclusion that the pheasant is such a complex-colored bird, it needed a whole series. I began to parse up pieces of the pheasant, and viola! The Series was born. The colors in this series have been hugely popular, so much so, that they are fully in my color catalogue now.
Pheasant Crown is the very tip-top of the pheasant, which is a beautiful gray with mottled coloring. I ADORE this color for so many reasons. It's a speckled yarn with muted tones, which means this color can complement so many others! I do love having choices.
