This beauty is part of the Pheasant Collection. I found a gorgeous picture of a pheasant (see below). I had tried to dye a color to match the pheasant with little success. I finally came to the conclusion that the pheasant is such a complex-colored bird, it needed a whole series. I began to parse up pieces of the pheasant, and viola! The Series was born. The colors in this series have been hugely popular, so much so, that they are fully in my color catalogue now.
Pheasant Eye Patch is the area right around a pheasant's eye as pictured below. It's this beautiful red with blues and blacks, and it's just as gorgeous on yarn!
