The Eye! Such an iconic image! I am over the moon to have my yarn used for these mitts, which can be found in "The Fellowship of the Knits" by Tanis Gray!
These beautiful mitts - The Watchful Eye by Therese Sharp - take one skein each of Japanese Paradise Flycatcher Feather and Kestrel Feather along with one 50g ball of Guianan Cock-of-the-Rock.
The Watchful Eye mitts are the perfect accessory for anyone! The pattern is for small to XL hand sizes & to my knowledge, the yarn will make up to the XL size.
If you have never worked with my Songbird yarn, it's my most popular fingering weight base of 75% superwash merino and 25% nylon. Each skein is 463 luscious yards!
From the pattern page:
"Rule over Isengard in these stranded colorwork mittens illustrating Barad-dûr, or the Dark Tower, holding the Eye of Sauron aloft on the hand side. Beginning with a 1x1 twisted ribbed cuff, the palm side has vertical striping with an afterthought thumb positioned with waste yarn. Once the body of the mitten is complete, stitches are picked up and knit for the thumb."
The pattern is ONLY AVAILABLE IN THE BOOK, which is a separate purchase.
