Stephen West was on fire with his designs during the 2020 pandemic, and we fell in love with his Painting Bricks Shawl.
From the pattern page: "Painting Bricks is a splashy semi-circular shawl. Easy garter stitch is combined with stockinette stitch stripes and slipped stitches for an exciting new shawl project. Two skeins of the main color are combined with contrast colors."
This pattern is written for fingering or DK yarn. These Robin's Promise Yarn Co. kits are in fingering. Each kit comes with 10 mini skeins and two full skeins of the main color, all in Songbird Fingering, 75% superwash merino and 25% nylon. All of this is knit on a US size 5 47" needle. When you are finished, your shawl will have a 94” / 239cm wingspan length and a 28” / 71cm from CO to BO edge measured along center.
