Meet the Show Color of the Spring Frederick Fiber Fest 2025 - Roses in the Storm.
I wanted to do something a little different this year with all of my show colors. This year, they will all be a cohesive body of work and made to go together. The theme for all the show colors this year is STORMS! Its been a stormy year this year, and there is beauty - even in the storm.
In my mind's eye, I see a dark and wild sky with red rose petals flying about. Just like that picture in my head, Roses in the Storm is a moody gray with highs and lows overlaid with a beautiful patina of red speckles - dark red, light red, crimson. Add to that a middle layer of flecks representing the detritus flying about in the storms with the rose petals.
